    We all can do a better job trying to understand each other, not just in trying to provide learning that is relevant, but also in life in general. While I agree with this and try to practice it, I often find myself making assumptions of what I think others want instead of actually exploring it with them. When I do start the discussion, I don't always ask the right questions to get an accurate, complete understanding. And, that's assuming those I am trying to understand know what it is that they want/need, which isn't always the case. My "homework" for this is to find ways to add more learner input into the training I provide so I understand their wants/needs and can help them understand why/when these can and can't be accommodated.

    YES! Rather than tell the story from beginning to end (however short or long), bring the learner into the event/activity/story by asking "why" at key points of the story.

    My routine has been to create "Fill-in-the-Blank" moments at key points of the story to invite and engage them. However, I'm anxious to include a direct "why" question as well!
